What can we say apart from 5 stars ++++ We are the second (extension) build in our street by William James Construction and we couldn’t be happier with the service and delivery of our single storey extension. The company owner, Bill, planned the whole build start to finish and communicated at the beginning how each stage would work, and the timings of each stage. This was just what we wanted (having heard of other people who’d used various companies when extending in an attempt to save costs to only end up paying more in the long run). Bill and his team were here on the dot each day and to say they’re clean and tidy is an understatement, everyone we knew who visited during the build commented on how tidy our mid-build house was kept! With each part of the build in progress, if you asked, Bill would explain the detail of each discipline, so for someone like me who likes to understand how something works, this was just perfect! Bill’s advice was sound throughout, and he put forward varying options, which all had ours; the customers interest at heart. He highlighted areas we had initially thought we would wait on until a later date, however Bill explained each part of the process and how it would be beneficial to alter certain plans, which at the end we are so glad we did! Bill also created some beautiful new alcove shelving for the older part of our house which has added a lovely extra touch to our dining space. His high attention to detail meant we felt in safe hands at all times. Our neighbours all made friends with Bill and his team whilst they were here, everyone commented on how friendly and pleasant they were. Bill you have delivered an outstanding new home for us, that will serve our family for a fair few years, and for that we’ll be forever grateful. If anyone is looking to extend / build and want someone who knows exactly what to do, we can’t recommend Bill more!
We had William James Construction come look at some damage to our party wall and some other damage outside the property and Bill gave us some brilliant advice and information. Very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be using them soon.
It is difficult to put into words how pleased we are with the extension built for us by William James Construction. We set out on an ambitious project to extend our home within a set budget. With Bill’s guidance, support and direction we achieved a home that more than met our expectations. We are extremely happy with our “new” home. Not only did company owner William (Bill) Flynn keep a close eye on costs, he kept the project on track and kept us informed throughout of any potential additional spend, always looking for cost effective solutions. The tradesmen employed had excellent skills and had the same work ethic as Bill. They were polite to us at all times and were considerate to our neighbours – some of who commented on this. During the project we continued to live at the back of our home in a restricted but comfortable area, therefore cleanliness of the site was important. William James Construction always left the site tidy clearing up every evening before they left. We would not hesitate to use William James Construction again or recommend them to anyone.
Received advise with regards to Damp on our internal wall in the dining room from William James Construction company. Was very helpful. I will 100% use this company in future as well, also definitely recommend to all my family and friends.
William James Construction were recommended to us and we could not be happier with our new rear extension. The whole process from start to finish has been genuinely fantastic. We were living in the property whilst the work was carried out and Bill and his team were extremely professional and considerate to our home and to our surrounding neighbours. At every stage we knew what was happening as Bill would explain everything to us and despite 2 separate periods of bad weather due to snow the project finished on time and on budget. They also laid a beautiful patio, which completes our extension perfectly.
